The photographs by Italian Oliviero Toscan continue to spark debates and polemics. Born in 1942, he is the son of the first photojournalist of the Milanese daily paper Corriere Della Sera. After graduating in Zurich in 1965, he worked with prestigious luxury brands and his shots featured in illustrious international publications (Elle, GQ, Harperâ€™s Bazaar, Lâ€™Uomo Vogue). His collaboration with United Colors of Benneton from 1982 to 2000 made him an internationally renowned artist. It would be impossible to recall the nineties without alluding to his controversial communication campaigns, in which the clothing was entirely eclipsed by political messages. Oliviero Toscanisâ€™ work has been shown at the Venice Biennale, the Triennale di Milano, and the modern art museums of Mexico City, Helsinki, Rome, Lausanne, Frankfurt and San Paolo.
