L'artista

Guillaume Gaudet is a commercial and editorial photographer based in New York. He developed a taste for travel and discovering new cultures from his childhood, which he spent living in several different countries, including Spain, Argentina, and Germany. After a career in public relations in Paris, he moved to New York in 2007. As soon as he arrived, he fell in love with this bustling city. He has always been passionate about photography and the urban landscape and melting pot atmosphere of the Big Apple has become an inexhaustible source of inspiration for him. Through a particular lighting, architecture or slice of life, he strives to capture in each of his photos a little piece of the soul of the city and its energy.  ... Vedi di più Vedere di meno

“Through a particular light, a building, or a scene from daily life, the need to capture a little piece of the soul of the city and its energy is ever present.”

Sull'opera

?Times Square, the crossroads of Broadway and Seventh Avenue has been quite rightly nicknamed the ?Crossroads of the World.? When you are there for the first time, you are overwhelmed by an explosion of colours, advertisements, luminescent screens, as well as a constant flood of vehicles and people. In contrast to some photographs taken with a wide angled lens to bring out the excessive size of the location, I have favoured close-up shots, to closely express the unique sensations that are felt when crossing the Broadway crossroads on foot. This photo faithfully describes the atmosphere of the place. Our gaze is drawn to the reflection of the luminous signs on the black limousine, the girl lying down on the bus poster, the coloured theatre posters, a real visual hive of activity.? GG

KODAK COLORAMA DISPLAY COLLECTION - PETER GALES

Launching this collection were giant images by Kodak, in the hall of Grand Central Station in New York, which the firm used at the time to proclaim its photographic omnipotence. Used as advertising tools in the legendary Manhattan train station from 1950 to 1990, the plastered im...

DAMIEN DUFRESNE

As Damien Dufresne says himself: "I let my hands do the talking". His approach is totally new in that it's at the crossroads of makeup, body art, artistic direction and photography. The resulting complexity, technicality and beauty are impressive. Damien Dufresne, a make-up arti...
