L'artista

Born in the historic city of Košice in Slovakia, Peter Svoboda is an expert in landscape photography. He graduated from medical school after art studies in which he practised paint on canvas and discovered the Impressionist movement that was to have a lasting influence on his work. Passionate about photography from a tender age, Peter Svoboda owes his talent to his patience and determination to capture ever more dazzling images of his travels. From his native country, on the borders of Europe, he has roamed the world to find the right light to reveal the enchanting and pictorial aspects of nature. Besides the many competitions won throughout his career (Tokyo International Foto Awards, International Photography Awards, Moscow International Foto Awards, Prix de la Photographie PX3), his photographic style has earned him true recognition, with his election as a MQEP (Master Qualified European Photographer) in 2017.  ... Sull'opera

Peter Svoboda’s photographs seem to have sprung directly from his imagination, given the surprising natural worlds they present, with their spectacular and fantastical dimensions. Before the photographer’s lens, this environment makes an entrance, dazzling us like a harmonious ballet. Magic triumphs over reality: the soft lines, bewitching curves, and lush light penetrate the isolated valleys, allowing us to discover little corners of paradise. Transforming an ordinary point of view into a grandiose panorama, he compares himself to an artist at an easel, seeking to paint a picture by very carefully selecting his palette of colours. As in Chilled By the Light, which reveals a serene morning atmosphere in the Val d’Orcia in Italy, the photographer likes to include a human figure in the frame to highlight our meekness in the face of the immensity of nature and the respect that we owe to it and to its conservation.
