MAGGIORI INFORMAZIONI SULLA CONSEGNA

Sull'opera

Planes from all over the world end their days in the Mojave Desert in California. Boeings and army planes, but also very old aircraft await their fate in the middle of nowhere in the blazing sun. An aesthete of past eras, Lavielle only photographs old models which have become collector?s items. Connoisseurs will recognise the DC-3s used to fight against Nazi Germany and the Fouga Magisters from the Patrouille de France. Black and white sublimates the lines of the aircraft. Whilst light reflects upon the cabin and the wings, one cannot help but think about ?L?Albatros? by Baudelaire pathetically letting their great white wings trail beside them.

L'artista

Born in southwest France, Oliver Lavielle is a photographer in love with the period from the 1940s to 1970s. His world is tinged with jazz, swing, blues, rock'n 'roll and a pinch of disco. Unmoved by the contemporary aesthetic, his subjects are mostly expressed in black and white or a period-style colorimetry that his subjects best express. The photographer is fond of representing the atmospheres that he would've liked to experience for himself. Passionate about cinema, these compositions are dynamic and inspired by Hollywood stagings. It is in Asia and the United States that this insatiable globetrotter finds his inspiration. A pilot as a hobby, his photos of aircraft intimately portray the special relationship that he maintains with his \"toys\" as he likes to call them. Entering his world means travelling through time and since Olivier is also a steward for a French airline, a single phrase could sum up his work nicely: "Welcome aboard!"  ... “My joy as a photographer is showcasing the heroism of aviation. Remembering that humanity is an explorative force! The sea and the air, challenging oneself, adventure... in a word, humanity.”

CLAUDE DEGOUTTE

“The wall belongs to the ‘retards’, ‘inept’, ‘rebels’, ‘simpletons’, to all those with a big heart. It is the blackboard of the school of life,” says French-Hungarian artist Brassaï in his famous back Graffiti. A veritable ode to urban art, Brassaï’s reflection was to mark the a...
