Sull'opera

The seductive photographs of DASHA & MARI delicately highlight the curves of the female body, revealing it in all of its diversity. Through the particularly sensitive gaze they bring to bear on the models and their beauty, they have rapidly attracted the attention of magazines of all kinds. They excel at framing, preparing lighting rigs, magnetising skin, using the geometry of a neckline, sublimating a beauty spot, and choosing their models precisely. These mysterious models adopt highly sensual poses before their lens. Produced in June 2011 in a botanical garden in Kiev, Ukraine, this shot is part of a series of works dedicated to feminine grace. Through an intense use of black and white, under a perfectly masterful lighting and harmonious imbrication of partly unclothed bodies, Backyard Diary was inspired by the film world and bears an implicit narrative dimension.

L'artista

DASHA & MARI are award-winning photographers, twin sisters from Kiev, Ukraine. They have formed an inseparable duo of photographers with artistic vision and professional background, having more than 12 years of professional expertise and receiving a Masters Degree in Photography from Kingston University, London, UK in 2018. Their style in photography has a special timeless ingredient. It combines modernity and classics, emphasizing elegance and sensuality. The photographs of these authors are compositionally balanced, deep and sumptuous. Sharply-delicate, with erotic undertones. Born in 1985, the Ukrainian twins are causing a stir in the fashion world as young artistic hopefuls. They are perfectly compatible throughout the creative process, from the shoot through to post-production. From the outset, DASHA & MARI have specialised in portraiture and black-and-white female nudes. Roaming European capitals from Paris to Berlin, they find inspiration in the film and fashion worlds to create their pictures, in which the bodies of sensual women are flaunted with controlled extravagance under their acute gaze. International juries at competitions around the world have selected their projects. They were notable laureates at the 12th Black & White Spider Awards, the International Color Awards in 2017, and finalists at the Hasselblad Masters Awards in 2014. They have also clinched numerous collaborations with Elle Magazine (the UK), The Huffington Post (the US) and The View Magazine (the Netherlands) to name just a few.  ... Vedi di più Vedere di meno
