Since 1997 the collector AndrÃ© RobÃ© has bought slides from the personal archives of private individuals. It was not enough for AndrÃ© RobÃ© to simply buy and collect. He built up sets of carefully thought out images. Stylistic coherence, combined with iconographic research, formed a corpus raisonnÃ©. In turn, the collector AndrÃ© RobÃ© created a body of work akin to it. He saved photographs, lost in the oblivion of the privacy of peopleâ€™s homes, which became icons.
