Astrophotographer Andrew McCarthy dazzles us with his high-quality images of the moon and planets captured from his garden in Sacramento, California. His meticulous attention to details and patience allow him to reveal the slightest subtleties of the surface of the celestial bodies that surround us. Although his interest in the cosmos began by his father’s side, when he was just a teenager, he became interested in lunar photography in 2017 with the acquisition of his first telescope. His most distant memory is the discovery of Saturn, a fascinating point of view that has endlessly fueled his dream of exploring the heavens. Should the occasion arise, the American photographer would like to be the first man to take images of Earth from the moon’s surface.
