Jirawat Plekhongthu is a photographer of Thai origins, born in 1990. He became passionate about photography in his last year of studies in geology at the Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. The technical training he undertook was to be crucial in igniting his passion for images. He affirms that “nature itself is truly beautiful” and devotes his time to expressing its beauty, that of the flora and fauna around us. In 2015, Jirawat Plekhongthu won the “Editor’s Choice Award” of the 500px Competition with his photograph Blue Moment as well as third place at the Thailand National Awards in 2017, organised by Sony World Photography Awards.
