About the artwork

Having specialized in fashion for over fifteen years, Rasmus Mogensen demonstrates an approach that is both radical and an extravagant in this photographic genre. The Danish photographer composes images whose expressionist, sensual staging make women from across the world shine. He never ceases to amaze and surprise with his needle-sharp style and icy tone and by his constant search for illusion and perfection. A faithful practitioner of studio photography in the manner of Irving Penn, he works the lighting and colours with precision to highlight his models and accentuate their personalities. The image ?Case Study Horse? was created in 2012 in Palm Springs. Speaking of his work, Rasmus Mogensen states that: ?For me, photography is about seeking harmonious shapes and composition. What motivates me above all is that a creative career is about constantly evolving towards a perfection that doesn?t exist. I like that you can always improve something about your creative process. It?s a never-ending story.?
