MÁS INFORMACIÓN SOBRE ENTREGA

El artista

YellowKorner is proud to be associated with renowned photographer and committed animal rights activist Arno Elias, as part of his project “I’M NOT A TROPHY”. He has brought together two artforms, painting on his own original photographs, and is now offering prints of these works exclusively through YellowKorner. By capturing images of his muse Cara Delevingne and iconic endangered species, photographer Arno Elias has combined art with an important cause. The founder and creator of this campaign is sharing his photographic project with us. He has created a new series of painted photographs to raise awareness about the diminishing numbers of animal species such as rhinos, elephants, and lions. Cara Delevingne, one of the most popular fashion and entertainment figures in the world today, is the brand ambassador for this campaign. She has more than 40 million followers on Instagram, recently starred in Luc Besson’s film Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, and is an internationally recognised top model, equally at home on the front pages of magazines as on the catwalk for major fashion labels Burberry, Yves Saint Laurent, or Chanel. Cara Delevingne is thus the ideal person to capture the attention of a wide audience and promote the cause. Through its visual and artistic approach, the idea behind this campaign is to create greater awareness of the critical situation of endangered species and to fight against all forms of exploitation. With Cara Delevingne as a muse, a double message is conveyed: the depiction of animals that are hunted as trophies and the hope of securing strong public support for his cause. Indeed, Arno Elias is deeply committed to making a lasting impression and has created an exceptional partnership, one capable of drawing increased public attention to the issue and thus reversing the fate of some animal species. In support of this project, YellowKorner is giving you the opportunity to purchase the works “Cara Elephant” or ”Cara Lion”, with all photographic rights being donated to the “I’M NOT A TROPHY” campaign. “The aim of this project is to strike up a conversation about wildlife in an artistic and original manner, as well as the urgent need to protect them. In my view, public opinion is one of the most powerful tools for saving endangered animals.” Arno Elias  ... Ver más Ver menos

I'M NOT A TROPHY

Sobre la obra

More than a musician, Arno Elias is the founder and photographer of the "I'm not a Trophy" project, an organisation dedicated to drawing greater attention to the extinction of endangered species. By means of a visually attractive campaign, starring top model Cara Delevigne as ambassadress, the organisation's aim is to educate future generations and unite them in this cause. The Earth has in fact lost half of its populations of wild species in less than two generations. Lion populations have gone from 450,000 in 1940 to less than 20,000 in 2010. Produced in 2016, Cara Elephant is part of the The Lost Series project, a crystallisation of different techniques inspired by the pop-art movement and artists such as Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, Gerard Richter, Jackson Pollock and Jean-Michel Basquiat. With fine details and rich tones, this hand-painted photography brings a certain sense of nostalgia to the onlooker.
