MORE INFORMATION ABOUT DELIVERY

The artist

Wolfgang Weinhardt is a German photographer. His taste for Indian culture has led him to travel widely in Asia and Oceania: through his photographs, Wolfgang wishes to share and revive the rich diversity of Asian culture. His goal is to enrich cultural dialogue and avert a certain loss of identification – with visually spectacular results. He also pays a lot of attention to dramatic landscapes, such as full moons, solstice, or climate variations.  ... See more See less

About the artwork

The word samsara is shared by all Indian religions, with nuances: Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainismn and Shaivism. It signifies the cycle of rebirths and by extension the attachment to multiple worlds, reincarnation, the human condition, a state of suffering, or a world of illusions from which one must liberate oneself. Samsara thus represents the wheel of life. The soul, spirit or consciousness (depending on the religion) passes from one body to another cruder astral or mental form, in the three worlds that constitute the samsara.
