About the artwork

PX3 Paris, IPA, FAPA, B&W Awards, ND Awards… Canadian photographer John Kosmopoulos wins award after award. In this series, the artist expresses his love of icons and symbols in the heart of the City of Light. Technically, he pushes back the limits of traditional multiple exposure, giving his photographs a unique pictorial form. Like an impressionist painting, the superimposing of images produces an ephemeral atmosphere full of light and bright colours.

The artist

Passionate about architecture, photographer John Kosmopoulos roams the world in search of beauty. Toronto, London, Chicago... and all of Europe are among his favourite spots. With camera in hand, on his travels he immortalises subjects as eclectic as they are aesthetically pleasing. Through their symbols, he captures what he calls “the complexity of beauty”. Shown in various galleries and museums the world over, including the Louvre Museum in Paris, the photographs by the Canadian artist are also used for promotional purposes by major international brands. Now based in Toronto, the artist has won numerous prestigious awards: Prix de la photographie Paris (PX3), International Photography Awards (IPA), Fine Art Photography Awards (FAPA), B&W Awards, ND Awards, and more. He shares his time between photography and teaching, through the direction of workshops dedicated to art and psychology.  ... See more See less
