About the artwork

Vutheara Kham is not backward about coming forward, not even with the imposing community following him on social networks and particularly on Instagram, the website that enables him to share his photographs with the general public. A fan of music and skateboarding, the young man photographs his daily life with rigour, freshness, humour and sometimes even eccentricity. Since the artist was rapidly crowned with success, the éditions de La Martinière suggested he publish PointOfVuth, a collection of 169 travel photographs. Iceland, Israel Istanbul, New York, the great European capitals... the Norman photographer has been travelling across the globe and notably, to Cambodia, on the trail of his family. Young Bonzes in Phnom Kulen, taken in 2014, thus belongs to this corpus of images taken in the moment and that express the emotion of the photographer and testify to his desire to liken this practice to contemporary art.
