MORE INFORMATION ABOUT DELIVERY

The artist

Michael Schlegel is a German photographer well known for his breathtaking landscape photographs. After his studies, he soon began to consider studying photography before changing his mind. He decided to become his own teacher. A winning gamble! Paris, Macao, Zurich, Hamburg… The self-taught artist now shows his work across the globe. He has also received the recognition of his peers numerous times at prestigious international competitions (International Photography Awards 2010, 2 PX3, Prix de la Photographie Paris 2010, etc.). His black-and-white photographs are the result of a carefully wrought recipe: a minimalist setting, intense contrasts, and long exposure times. The results are impressive – like seeing the wind blow, the fog drift, and river water flow.      ... See more See less

About the artwork

Based in Berlin, Michael Schlegel is a photographer passionate about travel. His camera follows him everywhere and notably to Iceland, where, in 2009, he immortalised the Horizons series. The winner of multiple international awards (International Photography Awards 2010, 2 PX3, Prix de la Photographie Paris 2010, etc.), above all, the German artist hopes to share emotions. Through his work, he evokes the spiritual experiences found on his extensive travels.

DAMIEN DUFRESNE

As Damien Dufresne says himself: "I let my hands do the talking". His approach is totally new in that it's at the crossroads of makeup, body art, artistic direction and photography. The resulting complexity, technicality and beauty are impressive. Damien Dufresne, a make-up arti...
