Painting with light using photography. This is surely the right way to interpret the pictorial work of Swiss artist Michel Norbou Tardy. After working for many years in the publishing sector as a director of collections and producing albums for famous photographers, he now devotes his time to his artistic work. Born in 1958, living in Geneva, Michel Norbou Tardy has shared his time between meditation and photography for over 11 years. His images of forest landscapes are contemplative invitations to daydream that are in large part inspired by his reading of philosophy and phenomenology in particular. He notably refers to Guy de Maupassant when he talks about his work: "Realists, when they are artists, will seek not to show us the banal photography of life, but to give us a more complete, captivating, and convincing vision than reality itself."
