Seeking to capture animal beauty, YellowKorner’s artists are presenting a collection of photographs of elephants. Wild, natural, and compelling, wildlife photography differs from traditional photography in that its subjects are never predictable, and are capricious at times. The practice of wildlife photography emerged in the early 1890s. The earliest photographers, silent and enthralled, explored cliffs, forests, ponds, parks, and prairies, with equal parts patience and discretion. Over the years, improvements in equipment made for sharper shots. The first animals caught on human-made lenses were those found easily in Europe and the United States. Deer, hares, birds, and horses were among the animals initially appearing in these photographs, shot in colour or black and white, at night and in daylight. Gradually, the desire for exotic settings and magnificent wild animals attracted artists. Long fascinated by Africa, Laurent Baheux travelled around Tanzania seeking out this majestic fauna . His photographs, mainly in black and white , feature the fauna and flora of the desert – strikingly poetic images of elephants or lion cubs cuddling. He captures unique scenes, providing glimpses of stirring moments. The famous Brazilian photographer Jackson Carvalho is another such modern wildlife photographer. He spectacularly captures elephants in the desert sunset. His poetic, delicately luminous photographs of these pachyderms will bring a delightful presence to your living areas. With their wildlife photographs, YellowKorner’s artists are striving to share their vision and emotions upon contact with wild animals. Explore this new collection of photographs of majestic elephants, in numbered limited edition. You will be hypnotised by the collection I’m not a Trophy by the photographer Arno Elias . Committed to the animal cause, he combines photography and colourful painting to create poignant images. The aim is to sound the alarm on the dying out of the noblest species on our planet. The YellowKorner team is proud to be a partner of this project and offer you reproductions of these unique works.
