Travel photography has existed since the birth of the eighth art. Effectively, in a sense, each photographer is an explorer of their own environment, of the landscape that shapes their daily life. What seems so far from the spectator’s gaze is only, for certain artist-photographers, the reflection of what they see each day. This was the case of the Buddhist and neurobiologist turned photographer, Mathieu Ricard . He provides a personal observation of Himalayan beauty, from the summits of Tibet or Nepal. Why these regions? Because he lives in this remote part of the world. So he presents, through his photographs, the grandiose landscape that he encounters, a freezing world, far from the big cities and full of serenity. These poetic shots reveal a world that is far removed from the daily life of Europe or New-York . Within an interior, this photographer’s images provide peace and serenity, reflecting his Buddhist beliefs. Photographers sometimes travel to the other side of the world, like Daniel Metz who captures the high mountains of China, or work locally. In the YellowKorner collection of travel photography in numbered limited edition, you can set off for New-York , Paris, Tokyo, or the great plains of Africa and the Mongolian steppes. Set out to encounter new cultures in Daniel Metz’s photographs full of authenticity, discover the photos of Martinique, London, Italy, or India, and embark on a photographic safari in South Africa… There is no limit and each shot, once hung on your wall, can invite you a thousand leagues from your daily life with a single glance. You can admire travel from various points of view, poetic, dreamlike, ethnographic, or documentary. This is the case of the photographs by the duo Tuul and Bruno Morandi. Their award-winning series on Nepal, Tuscany, or Rajasthan are wonderful guides to the discovery of a marvellous corner of the globe.  ... See more See less
