Diving into the world of internationally renowned Russian photographer Elena Iv-skaya means opening the doors to a minimalist and stylised world in which sublime female models play freely to the camera. Born in 1977 in Khabarovsk, the artist began her photography career in 2013, a year after moving to Reunion Island. The colours and contrasts that fill her photographs are most likely influenced by her unusual daily life. It all began with a still life taken one evening on her terrace with the help of an old reflex, which she would later train with. An artistic director in advertising, her husband found this first attempt interesting and suggested she continue her artistic adventure, leading Elena Iv-skaya to specialise in fashion photography. As she gradually gained more experience, she collaborated with prestigious models, agencies, and publications such as New African Woman magazine, which advocates beauty in all its forms.
