The artist
Nicolas Bets

Nicolas Bets left his native Belgium at the age of 17 for Paris, with the ambition of becoming a photographer, like his mother. For seven years, he was the assistant of Jean-Daniel Lorieux and Clara Wickrath. It was during this period that he learned about the aesthetics and staging of characters, combining aspects of delirium and exactitude. Today, he mainly works in fashion and showcases products and brands, producing images with an attention to detail taken to the extreme. He was notably responsible for the success of the campaign for the 150th anniversary of Louis Vuitton and Devernois with Satya Oblette. He was also able to photograph Bob Sinclar, Tara McDonald, and many others. His photographs are tableaux or cinematographic scenes.
