Chrysler in SohoAbout this photograph
« Whilst going up Mercer Street, in the area of Soho in Manhattan, the Chrysler Building can be made out. The autumnal end of day light that day particularly highlighted the skyscraper?s sparkling roof. It contrasts with the street lamps and the forged iron fire escapes dating from the 19 th century, the signature of Manhattan?s historic area. The ?John Lennon, the New York Years? exhibition poster recalls that in the ?70?s Soho was the ultra trendy area for the current artists. » GG
