The pure white Ivory Gull is without a doubt the most emblematic but also the most endangered Arctic seabird. It is highly regarded by the Inuits for its skill as the ultimate Arctic survivor. The Ivory Gull breeds on the highest mountains and on the northernmost Arctic land. The Ivory Gull is facing serious risk of extinction due to climate change. Since they are already living in the highest altitudes and northernmost part of the Arctic there is nowhere left for them to relocate their colonies.
