Coucher de soleil sur ManhattanAbout this photograph
?When I look for a panoramic view of Manhattan, I favour the top of the Rockefeller Center, the ?Top of the Rock.? It provides this magnificent view of the Empire State Building and the Wall Street towers in the background. In the distance Verrazano Bridge and the Statue of Liberty can be made out. The light of the sunset highlights the silhouettes of the skyscrapers and the slightly sepia tone of the black and white gives the impression that the photo was taken in the ?30s, at the time of the completion of the Empire State Building.?
