About this photograph

This series is composed of photographs from the 1950s-60s. They were mainly taken by American tourists in New York. The period corresponds with the Golden Age in the United States. These photographs mirror an America which was powerful and modern at the time. American citizens, become anonymous photographers, ?constructed? images which had great resonance with the American Dream. These photographs are consistent with what could be imagined of a country at the leading edge of innovation. Fashion, design, architecture and even the energy which stands out gives an impression of ultra-modernity. The anonymous photographed the symbols of success with pride.
