Marcus Koppen was born in Minden, Germany, 1973. His settled in 2003 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and began working as a freelance photographer for a variety of international magazines and agencies. Travelling around the world on various assignments, he has become particularly interested in megacities. Koppen is fascinated by how rapidly the cityscapes of these modern urban giants are changing, as well as their growing importance.
