« The huge billboards on the walls of the Manhattan buildings are an integral part of New York?s urban landscape. They contribute to the impression of the city?s immensity and its aspect of constant change. Whilst walking along Houston Street, in Soho, I was immediately taken aback by these two immense blondes and the contrast formed with the small windows and the building?s fire escapes. The choice of black and white reinforces this contrast and almost gives the impression that these girls are alive.» GG
