Manhattan's famous Chinatown is a lively neighborhood where restaurants are found and where good value food shopping may be done. Also for sale are cheap knockoffs of designer labels made in China, and all sorts of trinkets and toys. Over several decades, Chinatownâs population has soared and the limits of this district have been pushed back considerably. It now encompasses most of 'Little Italy' and a large portion of the Lower East Side, north of Canal Street and on the north side of the Manhattan Bridge overpass.
