Guillaume Gaudet

Coucher de soleil sur Manhattan

About this photograph

?When I look for a panoramic view of Manhattan, I favour the top of the Rockefeller Center, the ?Top of the Rock.? It provides this magnificent view of the Empire State Building and the Wall Street towers in the background. In the distance Verrazano Bridge and the Statue of Liberty can be made out. The light of the sunset highlights the silhouettes of the skyscrapers and the slightly sepia tone of the black and white gives the impression that the photo was taken in the ?30s, at the time of the completion of the Empire State Building.? The artist
Guillaume Gaudet

Guillaume Gaudet is a commercial and editorial photographer based in New York. He developed a taste for travel and discovering new cultures from his childhood, which he spent living in several different countries, including Spain, Argentina, and Germany. After a career in public relations in Paris, he moved to New York in 2007. As soon as he arrived, he fell in love with this bustling city. He has always been passionate about photography and the urban landscape and melting pot atmosphere of the Big Apple has become an inexhaustible source of inspiration for him. Through a particular lighting, architecture or slice of life, he strives to capture in each of his photos a little piece of the soul of the city and its energy.
