PRODUCTS GUIDE

YellowKorner produces non-digital prints on traditional photographic paper..
These are prints of very high quality, whose finish, sharpness, and contrast are optimal both in colour and in black and white.
Under the supervision of our photographers, the prints are numbered and provided with a certificate of authenticity. With the photographer’s consent, a single photograph can be made available in one or more formats.

FINISHES

THE PRINT

The photograph is printed on Fuji DPII Gloss 250 photographic paper. It is a non-digital print covered by a layer of anti-reflective film that protects it from humidity and UV rays. In galleries or on Yellowkorner.com, it is possible to order just the print, in which case it is delivered in a cardboard tube.

If you would like further information about our printing techniques, consult the Zeinberg page, YellowKorner’s laboratory.

MOUNTING

Mounting is a procedure use to provide a solid support for an Art photograph.
This technique consists of gluing the print onto Dibond© (aluminium composite panel). This thin and light material is made of a layer of polyethylene sandwiched between two thin sheets of aluminium, making it stiff and light, with a total thickness of 2 mm (3 mm for the Prestige format). Since aluminium is a very light metal, this technique is particularly well suited to large formats.

In galleries or on Yellowkorner.com, it is possible to order the mounted print with or without a frame.

GLOSS ACRYLIC GLASS

Acrylic glass is used to heighten the colours of the photograph. This technique consists of directly applying a gloss acrylic-glass plate onto the photograph after mounting, providing protection while accentuating the colours and therefore giving the print greater depth. The print adheres under the acrylic glass with a pH-neutral adhesive system that enables us to obtain an exceptionally durable finish, free of bubbles or cracks.
This finish is ideal for colour prints that will be displayed in rooms without heavy exposure to light.
Example :

PALM SPRINGS III de Ludwig Favre
HIGH DENSITY III de Laurent Dequick
ITALIAN FOOD CENTER II de Franck Bohbot

Matte Acrylic Glass

Matte acrylic glass is used to heighten contrasts. This technique consists of directly applying a matte acrylic glass plate onto a print after mounting, including a protective anti-reflective finish. The print adheres under the acrylic glass with a PH-neutral adhesive system that enables us to obtain an exceptionally durable finish, free of bubbles or cracks.
This finish is ideal for the dark or black-and-white prints that will be displayed in rooms with exposure to strong light.
Example :

LE ROI SAGE de Laurent Baheux
THE WONDERS - ANNE ET YMANOL de Juliette Jourdain
BANANA SHAKE 2 de Ruslan Lobanov

FRAMES

After mounting, the print is then inserted into a 480 mm thick, solid wood, custom-built frame, assembled by hand. The space between the frame and the image produces a floating effect and throws the image into relief. On the sides of the frame, we find two notches allowing the work to be hung directly.

At the centre of this frame, the certificate including a description of the artwork, the artist’s biography, and the number of the print is attached

This type of frame, known as a shadow-gap frame, leaves a 15 mm wide space with the artwork, thus providing an ethereal illusion of depth. The shadow-gap frame is available in six colours:

BLACK SATIN

WHITE SATIN

OAK

WALNUT

WENGE
