Biography
Mirko Reinecke was born in 1971 in Hamburg and grew up in a number of European countries. He ultimately chose The Hague as his home town where he studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. At the age of 6 he received his first camera, a Kodak instamatic 155, and started his very own photographic collection from around the world. Mirko Reinecke’s photographs show how man interacts with his surroundings. Man has the ability to create his own environment, only he doesn’t always realize the magnitude of it. In the project " De verademing " Mirko Reinecke observes the discrepancy between architecture and people in an industrial area in transition to a residential area.
