Biography
Born in Paris in 1969, he lives and works in Lausanne in Switzerland. Independent photographer for several years, he decides in 2006 to launch himself into a style necessitating a long pose time (up to several minutes) as well as a framing in a square format which since is obvious. The series "l'âme de fond" (the soul of depth) is born... An immersion in an immobile universe, an invitation to voyage and to dream a timeless vision, intimist and graphic, in plays of light and shadow when structures issued from the hand of Man mix with the traces left by natural elements conferring to the whole a purified and serene aspect. The eye and the spirit are invited to the intimate wedding of two concepts, two antagonistic forces, nature against culture, cosmogonic creation against urban architecture. Through this work, he has not searched for a faithful reproduction of the landscape but on the contrary a personal and creative regard, an intimate witnessing which stimulates the imagination of the spectator. The exposition « l’âme de fond » was presented in 2007 at the Fnac Lausanne, as well as at the Spaziofotografica Gallery at Locarno in 2008.
