For more than twenty-five years, Alain Pons has cultivated an immoderate interest in nature and the animal world. From his numerous voyages all over the world and from long hours passed in the wild, he returns with magnificent images, especially of big cats, for which he admits a profound passion, manifested by his work Fauves d’Afrique (Big Cats of Africa), which appeared at the end of 2002. Co-founder of "Objectif Nature" (Objective Nature), a voyager specialised in the organisation of naturalist photographic voyages to the four corners of the world, he is also the author of several books and his photographes have been often published and exhibited in France and abroad.
